There's been a lot of talk lately about a rumored US version of the Nokia N95 8GB. After the CES expo went to a flying start yesterday, Nokia officially announced and showcased the Nokia N95 8GB which has support for the US 3G frequencies of 850 and 1900MHz instead of the European 2100MHz.
Now North American users can enjoy high-speed HSDPA wireless data transfers with the UMTS bands that are most popular over the Big Pond. Otherwise, the specs of the new Nokia N95 8GB remain untouched - a gorgeous 2.8 TFT display, 128MB RAM, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 5 megapixel auto focus camera.
The expected retail price is around USD 750.
Interestingly enough the guys over at engadget.com visiting the CES expo have also spotted a red version of the US Nokia N95 classic. It seems a bit too much to our taste. We really dig the black variety.
