When you connect the HDMI cable to the computer, no video is output from the HDMI. However, the video still displays on the computer screen. High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) allows video and audio signals to be transmitted over a single cable. If the video's output does not automatically switch to HDMI, then you will need to switch manually.
Follow the following steps to switch the video output to HDMI, please according to your operating system:
Windows XP
1. Connect the HDMI cable to the computer and output device, such as a TV.
2. On the computer, right-click the desktop and select Properties.
3. In the screen properties, click Settings. Two monitors are listed here. One is gray. Click on this screen.
4. Enable setting this device as the primary display.
Windows Vista
1. Connect the HDMI cable to the computer and output device, such as a TV.
2. On your computer, right-click the desktop and select Personalize. In Control Panel, click Display settings.
3. In the display settings window, click Settings. Two monitors are listed here. One is gray. Click on this screen.
4. Enable this as my main monitor.
Windows 7
1. Connect the HDMI cable to the computer and output device, such as a TV.
2. On your computer, right-click on the desktop and select screen resolution.
3. If the two monitors are not listed, click Detect to start re-detecting the display. One is gray. Click on this screen.
4. Enable this as my main monitor.
